Transtar Acquires Axiom Automotive Technologies
Transtar Industries, Inc., a leading national distributor of aftermarket auto transmission repair parts, today announced that it has acquired Axiom Automotive Technologies, Inc., a major supplier of original equipment (OE) and aftermarket transmission replacement parts. Transtar has a national distribution network with 32 locations in the USA, Canada and Puerto Rico, and an international division that serves a global network of aftermarket automotive distributors in 70 countries. Axiom has 65 locations throughout the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

Freddie Free of Freddie’s Transmissions in Dallas, Texas; and Matthew Brockman of Northfield Transmission in Northfield, New Jersey are the two the lucky shop owners to win a Dell Laptop Computer in a drawing held at the ATRA Powertrain Expo in Orlando, Florida this past October. These two shops will be able to increase their efficiency by using their laptops to submit orders to Transtar easily and quickly using Transnet, Transtar's online ordering system.

Transtar Acquires APD

Transtar Industries, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio announced the acquisition of APD Transmission Parts of Atlanta, Georgia and its four branches in an undisclosed cash transaction. The combined operations of the two companies will further enhance Transtar’s strong position in the Southeast while continuing to build it’s presence in North America with 34 total locations.
